About this title
UpToDate access is now restricted to University of Toronto PGMEs and students only, as a result of a recent new contract in effect as of May 8, 2012. We regret that faculty and staff no longer have access. Please refer to the detailed explanation for background information.
DynaMed, an alternative clinical reference tool, is available on a trial basis until June 30 2012. Try it out here.
UpToDate is an evidence-based clinical information resource that provides the information in an encyclopedic format with references to clinical trials.
UpToDate requires that when you connect to UpToDate, we send them a user ID code for you that allows UpToDate to uniquely, but anonymously, identify you. This allows UpToDate to maintain a customized user profile for you.
If you choose, you can provide information to UpToDate, through their account management pages, that will personally identify you. This information is stored on the UpToDate server.
If you are affiliated with more than one institution that subscribes to UpToDate (for example, a hospital library as well as the University of Toronto Libraries) you can merge your UpToDate accounts, through the user profile management tools on their web site, so that you have a single user profile.
